Which car for a Bang Tao villa
Families staying in a pool villa usually take the 7-seat Toyota Fortuner: it fits a pushchair, beach gear and shopping, and handles the unpaved lanes to some villas. For two people a Toyota Yaris Ativ or MG5 is enough.
Getting around from Bang Tao
- Phuket Airport is about 25 minutes north.
- Surin and Kamala are 10–15 minutes south along the coast; Patong is about 35 minutes.
- Boat Avenue and Porto de Phuket in Cherngtalay have large free car parks for shopping and restaurants.
- Inside Laguna Phuket the roads are quiet and slow; watch for resort shuttles and cyclists.
